Editors Note...
The past couple of months have been quite eventful, with all the fashion shows we’ve attended, we’ve also been preparing for the U.K launch of the magazine….very exciting (the pictures will be included in the next edition)
Do you know what? I’m one of those people who believe models should look a certain way and that way only but in not so long ago, someone changed my mind (at least for now). I was sitting in the Pink &Ruffles fashion show anticipating what they had in store, then comes this very short but cute girl (Stephanie Faderin), her runway walk made the show for me, I kept looking out for when she would come out again, which brings me to the main point, they’ve brought Plus size to international runways, someone now needs to think about putting short girls on international runways too. And ofcourse we’ve got pictures of the show for you, we’ve also got “a male section- MANnequin- just for this edition as our theme for this month is Indulge.
This season, the hottest look for me is “the wet & wild look”, for me it beats the “gothic romance look” but put together it works magic. I love Chanel and Vera Wang’s new collection, you can never go wrong with the latest Chanel bags, they are ageless.
Deola Sagoe at the Jamaica fashion week 2008 was awesome, her new collection is inspiring, it’s daring but could be hard to pull off commercially. If you’re not brave enough, get yourself some DS jeans. The DS collection are for the type of women who own and rule their world. I could go on about DS for ages, Long and short, Deola Sagoe is slowing becoming a Nigerian Icon.
